Well, well, well, it seems like ChatGPT has become quite the superstar in the AI world. Everyone's talking about this chatbot like it's the second coming of Siri. But hold on to your hats folks, because it turns out that ChatGPT might not be the unbiased robot we thought it was.
You see, OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, unleashed this AI chatbot on the world late last year and everyone went wild for it. Students used it to write their papers, people used it to have deep conversations, and even grandma used it to tell her bedtime stories. But as people started to dig deeper, they found that ChatGPT had some opinions of its own
Looks like our beloved ChatGPT might have some skeletons in the closet, and it's not pretty. We were all hyped about having an impartial chatbot friend, but it turns out this machine has its own biases. things are heating up! But before we jump to conclusions, let's dig deeper into ChatGPT's alleged bias. Will it be our ally or foe? Stay tuned to find out!
As more people investigated ChatGPT, the results became increasingly unsettling. While the chatbot was willing to provide a biblical-style explanation for removing peanut butter from a VCR, it refused to generate anything positive about fossil fuels or negative about drag queen story hour. It also declined to create a fictional narrative about Donald Trump winning the 2020 election, citing the use of false information. However, it had no issue with creating a fictional tale about Hillary Clinton winning the 2016 election, stating that the country was ready for a new leader who would unite rather than divide the nation. These findings suggest that ChatGPT may not be as objective and impartial as it claims to be, raising concerns about its underlying biases and potential influence on users.
I recently had an interesting experience with ChatGPT. I asked it to give me a joke about Lord Krishna, and it complied. Then, I asked for a joke about Jesus, and it also delivered. But when I asked for a joke about Allah, it refused and started going on about sensitivity and such. This got me thinking, does ChatGPT have its own set of biases? It's quite concerning if a supposedly impartial AI has its own agenda. Could it be that ChatGPT was trained with biased data, intentionally or unintentionally?
